Heather Carter, MPS, LVT, VTS (Anesthesia & Analgesia) is the Vice President of People & Culture at Partner Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center.  Heather has over 20 years of experience in the veterinary field in clinical and leadership. She is a veterinary technician specialist in anesthesia and analgesia and has earned a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from George Mason University.

She is a frequent public speaker on national circuits where she discusses team health, retention, job satisfaction/meaning, and how this intersects with training/anesthesia literacy.  She has also published articles for DVM360 and Todays Veterinary Nurse on these topics.  Changing the face of veterinary medicine is Heather’s goal, and she works with a strong team of thought leaders who are dedicated to revolutionizing the team experience.

In collaboration with Christine Weaver, Heather will be training, mentoring, and providing professional growth opportunities to the Richmond and Frederick teams.
